The Advantages and Disadvantages In her novel, A Patch of Blue, Elizabeth Kata tells a story of Selina, an xviii year old blind girlfriend who meets and develops a salmagundi with Gordon, an older black man. Gordon helps Selina realize many hopes and dreams, though non without some drawbacks. One of the disadvantages of Selina and Gordons relationship is that he is able to correspond back telling her about the colour of his skin. Selina hates black pot because the save colour that she can see is black, and she has expectant to spurn it.
